Improving Collections
Improving Your Dental Practice’s Collections
Proveer examines what the practice collects against the work it does, and can help fix what it finds.
Whether Collections Are Low or Strong
Low collections are the obvious reason to look: the engagement looks for why. Strong collections are a reason to look too — the same examination shows whether a practice that already collects well is collecting everything its work should bring in.
What We Examine
The engagement looks at the practice’s own numbers, including:
Accounts Receivable
What is owed to the practice, by whom, and how long it has been outstanding.
Claims
What was submitted, and what was paid, denied, or is still waiting.
Fees and Write-Offs
Your fee schedule, and what is written off against it and why.
Network Participation
What the networks you belong to pay for the work you do. Where the network question is the real one, a network participation analysis goes into it in full.
Patient Numbers and Procedure Frequencies
How many patients the practice sees, and which procedures it performs and how often.
What You Get
The scope names what you will receive. Depending on what we find and what you want from the engagement, that can be findings and recommendations, fixes made in your practice management software, training for your staff, or a mix of these.
We agree on the scope before work starts, and you get a quote.
After the Engagement
The engagement is complete on its own. If you want help afterwards, it can continue as periodic checks on the numbers, as Continued Support through ongoing practice management, or as Proveer’s insurance processing if you would rather hand the claims work over.
